Jesse Lumsden

Jesse Lumsden is a distinguished Canadian athlete whose career spans professional football and Olympic bobsleigh. As a standout running back at McMaster University, he won the Hec Crighton Trophy in 2004 and set multiple records, including 1,816 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns in a single season. He went on to play in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos, and Calgary Stampeders, earning East Division All-Star honors in 2007.

Transitioning to bobsleigh in 2009, Jesse represented Canada in three Winter Olympics (2010, 2014, 2018), achieving top-ten finishes and securing two World Championship silver medals in the two-man event. His athletic versatility and leadership have been instrumental in both his sports careers.

In 2024, Jesse was appointed High Performance Director of Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton, where he oversees the development of national programs. As a member of the Third Factor Sport Advisory Board, he brings a wealth of experience in high-performance sports, offering insights into athlete development and team dynamics under pressure.
